Back by Lack of Popular Demand

Despite my best intentions, 3TT has been difficult to continue during the season. One hundred hour work weeks leave little time for blogging, but there are a few things to share.

College is expensive. Many of my college friends spent life well into their 30’s paying off student loans. Rice University is doing something to help that.

“Beginning in fall 2019 under The Rice Investment, middle-income families with typical assets will receive grant aid to cover full tuition if they earn up to $130,000 per year, and half tuition for families earning between $130,001-$200,000. In addition, students with family incomes below $65,000 will receive grant aid covering not only their full tuition, but also all of their mandatory fees and room and board.”

Pretty cool.

Rice Athletics just hired a dedicated creative video producer, Caroline Hall. Caroline has started a web-series that follows us during the season. She’s good at what she does. Here’s episode 1 of “Unsc{R}ipted”.

  • Best Thing I’ve Seen This Week: Last Sunset on Kauai.

You probably know that we played in Hawai’i two weeks ago. My wife, who went to college on the islands, stayed two extra weeks. She sent me this photo from her last sunset on the island of Kauai:

Must be nice.
