Welcome to the first “Three Thing Thursday.” Each Thursday I plan on sending you a list of three things. What sort of things? Anything I find interesting, fun, unique, or possibly worth your time to check out. I hope this will give you some insight into who I am not only as a coach, but outside of football as well. I also hope this can spark some conversations. Maybe something on the list will strike a chord with you. Maybe you’ll have your own suggestions of things for me to check out. I’m looking forward to your responses.
Here we go:
- Best thing I saw/heard/read/tasted this week:
My wife and I just returned home from a three week road trip. While not technically taken this week, these photos of the Grand Tetons in Wyoming are worth seeing. I’ve lived in several places across the globe with incredible scenery, and the Grand Tetons stack up with all of them.
*Side Note: The Grand Tetons border Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone was never on my “must-see” list, but I was wrong. We were so impressed that we stayed an extra night in Yellowstone.
- Game I’ve been playing: “Granny”
This is a free game in the Apple app store, and I’ll bet you can find it for Android/Google. You have five days to escape a house while avoiding the psycho “Granny.” She hears everything and chases you with a baseball bat, so keep quiet and learn to hide. I finally escaped during my road trip after many tries. The first few attempts are frustrating as you learn the layout of the house, what tips off Granny to your location, and how to hide from her. Best played at night with headphones.
If you’ve already played feel free to tell me how easy it was for you, and how you’re a much better gamer than I.
- Book I’m about to dive into: Legacy: What the All Blacks can Teach Us About The Business of Life
The All Blacks are New Zealand’s national rugby team. After college I lived in New Zealand and have been a rugby and All Blacks fan since. This book came highly recommended by two football coaches I know, so I had to check it out. I’ve just started so I’ll let your know if I learn anything worth sharing.
Let me know what you think, or if you have suggestions for other things to check out. Have a great week!
